Notice of Proposed Alley Vacation

Notice is hereby given that the City received a request from Bandon Coastal Properties, LLC on May 4th, 2023 to vacate the north arm of an alley hammerhead located in Seabird Village II Subdivision that connects “Avocet Ave and Salty Dog Drive”, as described below, within the corporate limits of Bandon, Coos County, Oregon:

 

BEGINNING AT A POINT (POB) ON THE WESTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY BOUNDARY OF SAID

ALLEY, SAID POINT BEARS NORTH 0°04'20" EAST A DISTANCE OF 553.17 FEET FROM

THE 5/8" IRON ROD AT THE INITIAL POINT OF SAID SUBDIVISION, THENCE CONTINUING

ALONG SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY, NORTH 0°04'20" EAST FOR A DISTANCE OF 37.72 FEET TO

A 5/8" IRON ROD;

THENCE ALONG THE NORTHERLY BOUNDARY OF SAID HAMMERHEAD, NORTH

89°56'36" EAST FOR A DISTANCE OF 21.94 FEET TO A 5/8" IRON ROD;

THENCE SOUTH 0°22'23" EAST FOR A DISTANCE OF 3.16 FEET TO A 5/8" IRON ROD;

THENCE ALONG A 23.00 FOOT RADIUS CURVE TO THE LEFT, THROUGH A CENTRAL

ANGLE OF 103°25'41" FOR AN ARC LENGTH OF 41.52 FEET, SAID CURVE HAVING A

CHORD BEARING OF SOUTH 52°05'14" EAST AND A CHORD DISTANCE OF 36.11 FEET

TO A 5/8" IRON ROD;

THENCE LEAVING SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY, SOUTH 76°11'56" WEST FOR A DISTANCE OF

52.00 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.

SAID VACATION AREA CONTAINING 0.02 ACRES, MORE OR LESS.

 

The City Council reviewed this request at their July 17th meeting and found that a public hearing be scheduled. Materials related to the hearing are available for inspection from the City Recorder at City Hall, 555 Hwy 101, Bandon, Oregon 97411 or on the website www.cityofbandon.org. 

 

The City Council of the City of Bandon has fixed the hour of 7:00 P.M., on August 7th, 2023, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 555 Hwy 101, Bandon, Oregon, as the time and place for the Hearing. Any and all objections/claims concerning said proposed vacation must be filed by email at jhinojosa@cityofbandon.org or in writing with the City Recorder of the City of Bandon by August 3rd, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. will be heard and considered.
