COMMITTEE VACANCIES The City of Bandon is looking for people interested in volunteering for positions on the following committees:
COMMITTEE ON CITIZEN INVOLVEMENT - To help the citizens be responsible for participation in the planning processes and become educated about land use issues. Meet bi-monthly or as needed.
BUDGET COMMITTEE - Review the budget document, receive public input on the proposed budget, request information from staff as needed to help approve the budget for city council adoption and approve the property tax levy. Meet 2 or 3 times yearly. Applicants must all live within the City.
PARKS & RECREATION - Long range plans and improvements to City parks and recreation programs. Meet monthly. Applicants can live in or out of the City.
WATER RESOURCE - Plan for and advise the mayor, council, and city manager on water supply, resources, and watershed protection issues. Meet as needed. Applicants must all live within the City.
PLANNING COMMISSION - Current planning applications, long term planning policies and recommendations to the Council regarding Municipal Code amendments. Meet twice a month. Applicants must all live within the City.
Submit an application (with resume ) by June 7, 2013, at 5 p.m. You can apply for and may be appointed to more than one committee. Applications are available here or at City Hall.

NOTICE OF STATE REVENUE SHARING
PROPOSE-USE HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that the Council of the City of Bandon will hold a hearing at 7:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as possible, Monday June 3, 2013, in the Council Chambers at Bandon City Hall, 555 Highway 101, to discuss the proposed use of State Revenue Sharing Funds.
State Revenue Sharing Funds in the amount of $25,200 are proposed to be used to fund the following: BRAVO, Dial-A-Ride, EAT, Go Native Project, Historical Society, Lions - July 4th Celebration, Neighbor to Neighbor, RSVP, Senior Meals, Women's Crisis Center, the Youth Center and the Main Street Program.
The public is invited to attend and will have the opportunity to make oral and written comments on how the Revenue Sharing monies should be spent.

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the City of Bandon, Coos County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014 will be held at City Hall, 555 Highway 101. The meeting will take place on the 25th day of March, 2013 at 7:00 PM. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message.
A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after March 26, 2013 at City Hall, 555 Highway 101, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

WATER PROTECTION NOTICE
This Water Protection Notice provides information for the owners of property within Bandon's watershed, which is located east of the City, and south of the water treatment plant. The City also advises that all property owners within and around Bandon subscribe to these same best management practices, due to the critical interrelationships between the City's Ferry and Geiger Creek water supply, the Coquille River, the Pacific Ocean, and the numerous other surface and groundwater resources in this area."

ELECTRIC CONSERVATION PROGRAM
With electric rates going up, NOW is the time to get prepared. The City wants to remind its customers that it offers Free Energy Audits. Find out what you can do to conserve energy and reduce your electricity costs.
The City now has a qualifying window replacement incentive program to go along with our Heat Pump, Insulation, and Hot-Water Heater programs. Please call for details if you have an interest in any of these programs.
In conjunction with CAPP, weatherization help is available at NO cost to income, qualified customers, renters or owners.
